    Animals:Animals were Finnhorses.
     Breeds associated:
Design:Animals were genotyped using the Illumina EquineSNP70 BeadChip and GWAS was performed for insulin dysregulation, characteristic of equine metabolic syndrome. A total of 49,287 SNPs were used for analysis.
Analysis:Three different methods were used for association analysis: GWAS in PLINK (-assoc fisher), F(ST) outlier detection based on a hierarchical island model in Arlequin and a Bayesian multinomial-Dirichlet model in BayeScan. Fisher's exact test was used to determine p-values.
    Software:PLINK, Arlequin v3.5.2.2, BayeScan v2.1
