Animals:The mapping population is an F2 cross between 2 extreme egg layer lines: Rhode Island Red and White Leghorn.
     Breeds associated:
    n/a
Design:Sexual maturity was determined as the age at first egg. Egg quality qas measured at 36-39 and 57-58 weeks of age. Albumen quality, eggshell quality, specific gravity, body weight, feed consumption, and feed efficiency was measured.
Analysis:There were 13 autosomal linkage groups with 92 microsatellite markers for perant-of-origin specific QTL analysed. The F2 data were analysed following a line cross model.
