  •  QTL Experiment in Brief
Animals:Two genetically different outcross dam lines originating from the White Plymouth Rock breed were chosen as the foundation of this experimental population.
     Breeds associated:
    n/a
Design:Body weight, hematocrit value, live abnormalities, heart sac fluid, right ventricle weight, total ventricle weight, abdominal cavity fluid, brest color, and mortality were all measured.
Analysis:A total of 420 microsatellite markers were used. Full-sib QTL analysis was undertaken using the regression interval mapping methodology, in which a single QTL was fitted within each family.
    Software:CriMap
