  •  QTL Experiment in Brief
Animals:Chickens were from the Brazilian TT broiler line.
     Breeds associated:
    n/a
Design:Birds were genotyped using the 600K Affymetrix Axiom Genotyping Array and analyzed for carcass and abdominal fat traits. GWAS was used to identify QTL regions. The QTL data, along with the results of a previous study, were used to identify predicted deleterious SNPs, which were then analyzed for association with breast, thigh, drumstick, and abdominal fat traits.
Analysis:GWAS was performed using a Bayesian approach. SNP effects were investigated by fitting both additive and non-additive models for each trait.
    Software:PLINK v.1.9, GenSel, SAMtools, Haploview, ImerTest 3.1-0 in R
