    Animals:A 3 generation design was performed by inter-crossing 2 experimental meat-type chicken lines that were divergently selected on fatness referred to as fat and lean lines.
     Breeds associated:

    Design:Body weight and abdominal fat weight were both measured.
    Analysis:Microsatellite markers on GGA5 were chosen from the genetic consensus map based on their location on the chromosome. QTL interval mapping was performed with 3 different models: line-cross and half-sib models for F2 and a back-cross model for BC2.
