    Animals:Animals were Merinolandschaf sheep.
     Breeds associated:
    Design:SNP-based association analysis and haplotype-based mapping were performed for tail length. Animals were genotyped using the Illumina OvineSNP50 BeadChip, and a total of 45,114 SNPs were used for analysis.
    Analysis:Mixed linear model–based association analysis and combined linkage disequilibrium and linkage analysis were performed.
