QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | Animals were American and Canadian Duroc pigs. |
Breeds associated:
|
Design: | Animals were genotyped using the GeneSeek Porcine 50K SNP Chip and analyzed for teat number. A total of 38,873 or 35,933 SNPs were used for analysis in American and Canadian pigs, respectively. |
Analysis: | Mixed linear models were used for single-locus GWAS. Multi-locus GWAS was performed using four models, including mrMLM, FASTmrMLM, FASTmrEMMA, and ISIS EM_BLASSO. Meta-analysis was performed on both populations combined. |
Software: | GEMMA, GCTA, Haploview v4.2, METAL, R software |
