Dear AnGenMappers,

We’re looking for a couple of Bioinformatics specialists to work alongside
our many and varied research groups in Edinburgh to provide support and
advice and to conduct analyses using a wide range of primarily sequence-based
techniques. The posts are part of our Core Capability and are intended to
provide a flexible resource to work with those projects that rely on
bioinformatics work but cannot justify a full-time post for the lifetime of
the specific project.

We primarily operate this as a collaborative rather than a service-based
venture. The successful candidate(s) will be encouraged to develop their
skill sets and will be expected to assist with grant preparation and
publication of results, not just “handle-turning” analysis.

The job advert is at https://tinyurl.com/2nr2a9rg -- This is also the start
point for any applications which must be received via that route.

If anyone would like more details than are available in the advert, then
please feel free to contact me (Andy Law) as andy.lawroslin.ed.ac.uk.
However, as noted above, all applications must go through the online system
and I have to tell you that unsolicited CVs and other documentation received
by email will be deleted with no acknowledgement or notice.

Please feel free to share the job advert link across other networks (and that
will be very much appreciated).

Later,

Dr. Andy Law
