Dear OMIA Support Group members,

Happy new year to everyone! And special thanks to those
who contributed to OMIA in the last year. The momentum for contribution
is slowly growing!

You may be interested in the attached open-access paper
(https://www.animalgenome.org/.../db/06.pdf) which
was published on 26 December. It reviews the history of discovery of the
molecular basis of Mendelian traits up to the end of 2012, and includes
some analyses of the distribution of different types of mutations. As you
will see, it draws heavily on information in OMIA.

Some of you provided very useful feedback on drafts, for
which Matthew and I are very grateful.

                Regards
                Frank
