Types of Markers
Minisatellite - multi locus - tandemly repeated elements which recognize tandem repeat groups throughout the entire genome
Microsatellite - single locus - simple sequence repeats (SSR) - often random di- or tri-nucleotide repeats - anonymous marker - codominant.
