Building Maps
In comprehensive maps markers are inserted in the best place.
Several orders of genes may have similar maximum likelihood values - choose the highest.
It is likely that the entire map is not correct but it is the best estimate at that time.
Good map building is adding markers one at a time to an established framework map.
