STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This program is designed to educate junior and senior high school students about the concepts of genetics. Since many researchers in both agriculture and human medicine depend on genetic principles, it is important for young adults to be educated on the principles that influence their lives and their future children.

The genetic problems presented in this program work from small, simplistic methods of inheritance to problems that may be considered difficult without the proper probability or statistical mathematics. If you do not understand a principle, see your teacher. Some of these problems are actually taught in college level courses, and the principles may be difficult to understand. So, take your time, consult your teacher, or the contacts available in this program. Good luck!
